My Top 10 Favorite Baby Items
I can’t believe my sweet baby is already 9 weeks old!
Hi friends! Let’s talk my FAVORITE baby items! I’ve only been a mom for 9 weeks but I’ve definitely learned what baby items Adeline LOVES and what just simply hasn’t worked for us. In this post I’m going to give you ALL the details about my favorite products so far! Keep in mind that what works for us may not work for you. All babies are different :)
1) DockATot- We LOVE our DockATot! We used it a lot when she was just a few weeks old on the couch for naps when she would fall asleep wherever/whenever (that doesn’t last forever LOL) and she’s had it in her bassinet for awhile now too. Just because I know I have to say it or I’ll get a ton of comments…Yes, I know this is technically not safe sleep. It works for us and she doesn’t roll at all (yet) in her bassinet because she’s swaddled in the BEST SWADDLE EVER so I don’t worry ;). If you don’t want to spend that much $ on something like this, there are lots of other brands on Etsy that are cheaper but probably work just as well :)
This is in the super janky crib the hotel gave us when we were out of town haha. BUT you can see the dockatot & shusher that we love dearly! Not a big fan of this swaddle, we only use it if we are washing the other one I mentioned below!

2) Halo bassinest- I was worried about spending this much $ on a bassinet but I did and we LOVE it! She sleeps great in it and I love that it swivels so I can move it where it’s actually on top of our bed if I want. I don’t now but it makes it easy to get her out for feedings or just to check on her because she’s literally RIGHT there (without being in our bed). Again, this was pricey and I’m sure there are other options out there that do the same thing for much cheaper, this is just what we got!
3) Baby Shusher- OH MY GOODNESS. I think this is my TOP fav product. If not it’s definitely a close second lol. We don’t go anywhere without the Baby Shusher and it is in her bassinet for ALL naps and for sleep at night. I’m actually able to put it between her DockATot and her bassinet side because there is plenty of room. The only down side is that it only stays on for 15 min…HOWEVER, I just discovered they have an app too! The app can last for 8 hours! It mimics the sound inside the womb and I’m telling you, it’s MAGIC! We put it in her car seat too! I have 2 other sound machines and I like the Baby Shusher WAY better. I think it’s supposed to be more of a “travel” sound machine, but I use it all the time. None of the other sound machines make the same noise and they just don’t work as well for her. I spent $80 on the Hatch sound machine although it’s cool that it lights up and all, I still prefer the noise the Baby Shusher.

4) Mamaroo Swing- This swing is awesome! It has lots of different movement and 4 different music options. It even comes with a cord you can plug the swing in to your phone to play other music. She has recently started LOVING the toys that hang from the top (you can flip them to the color side once they get older) and has started talking to them a lot! The three toys on top include a crinkle toy, a rattle and mirror. We didn’t even realize the green one has a small mirror on the other side until recently and that’s why she looks at that one the most! How cute.

5) Boppy Lounger- We use this to prop her up on the couch more than anything. She used to take a nap in it but doesn’t now (only her bassinet). I do like to have her do Tummy Time on it too though! See @Candokiddo on IG for the BEST tummy time ideas/tips!! I’ve learned SO much from her account.
6) Halo Sleep Sack Swaddle- THE BEST SWADDLE EVER. This swaddle was gifted to us from the hospital when she was born and although I bought a ton of cute blanket swaddles, she definitely prefers this one. I love that its also a sleep sack so she can use it even after she can’t be swaddled arms in anymore. We bought the next size up because she outgrew the newborn one. 10/10 highly recommend! The ones I linked are the micro fleece ones, they have others that aren’t as thick but I prefer these :)

7) Carters Play Gym- There is about 5 million of these on the market but this is the one we have and she loves it! I love that you can move all the attachments around and that they all serve a dual purpose—>a teether, one that plays music, a mirror, rattle and etc.

8) Tummy Time Floor Mirror- This is simple and exactly like what it sounds…but she loves to look at herself in it :)
9) Milk Snob Car Seat Cover- I’ve gotten so many compliments on this and we have 2 of them (just ordered another one haha). You can do so much with them! We mainly use it as a car seat cover but you can also use it as a nursing cover, shopping cart cover, light blanket and etc. I love it because it people are less likely to be nosy and try to touch her in public if they can’t see her ;). Also great for keeping germs away!
10) Car Seat/ Stroller Combo
There are SOOO many car seat/strollers out there and wow it’s overwhelming. This is what we have and it works great! I love that it’s so easy to click the car seat into the stroller and remove.
